Another Day at the Orange Grove: Flora Galore

Ray and I spent the day at the orange grove today. Here are more pictures that illustrate some of the expected flora, the orange blossoms, as well as several unexpected plants and flowers that border our grove, as well.

Neighboring Orange Grove

We have an organic farm across the dirt road from us and an orange grove to the north and to the east of us. We have a neighbor to the south, but she has orange trees and a fence between us so we don’t see her house, which is a quarter of a mile away.
The sun was out and the bees were busy today. Also, we saw many hummingbirds darting from orange blossom to blossom, doing their job.
A lovely day to be outside. Those kumquats and Satsuma tangerines are delicious, by the way. Sweet, full of Vitamin C, and right off the tree. Hard to beat…
