We have delayed our trip back to CA because we have had so much to do. Also, because it has been raining along our route either through El Paso or Flagstaff. Alas, it is now 12:34 am and we are still not ready to go. We have lots of work to do in the morning to get out of town: preparing for the trip itself, along with getting the work here to the point that we feel we can leave. We have people we trust who will continue the work after we leave. We just have to pull the plug and go. That can be tough, especially when we have a new tenant arriving in less than 2 weeks.
We signed the lease this evening with our new occupant for our upstairs apartment. It is a tiny place, but cute and exactly what she needs as she shifts her life from married back to single. We are happy to have her. She seems responsible, kind, and dependable. All qualities we must have for someone who will be living in our Texas home.
I wanted to include a few pictures, but my phone connection (with my camera) does not appear to be working. This might have something to do with the massive amount of rain we have had and are still having as of now.
So, on that note, I will close. An early morning before heading out. I guess we better look at the weather. If the rain turns to ice anywhere along the way, we might end up in a motel for a while. Not a bad thing, but if I’m not making it back home, I’d rather be here than in a motel room. We shall see.
But for now, it bed time.
