My student Oona Oglesby received the word tonight that she has been accepted to Bard College based solely on the Bard Exam. The Bard Exam consists of four scholarly essays of no less than 2500 words in science, philosophy, literature and art. Hours of work to produce four thought-provoking essays, but clearly well worth the effort. Bard is a fabulous school. Hooray!
Also, my student Kate Eplboim learned this week that she has been accepted to Emerson in Boston and Pace in New York with $22,000 per year scholarships to each. She also learned today that she has been accepted to Eugene Lang New School in NYC with an $18,000 per year scholarship. Kate had an exceptional college essay. I am certain this played a major role in her acceptances and her scholarship monies.
This is such good news for both Oona and Kate. Great schools and great choices. Yahoo.
I am feeling pleased and proud tonight.
Well done, girls. Fine work!
