Ray and I have accomplished our goal for this Texas trip: we staged the “Dimmit House” (the one we restored several years back, which is directly across the street from our Victorian, Lyon House), and then signed up with a realtor so it can go on the market. We have been hauling furniture, cleaning and decorating for the past several days. Tomorrow we head back to California. We’ve seen a few close friends, eaten barbecue, Tex-Mex and catfish and generally enjoyed being at our Victorian here in Sherman. Mainly, we are feeling very good about this beautiful home that we (along with Darrah Dunn and Chris Robinson) helped bring back from near-demolition. Sometimes life is simple and this is one of those times. Here’s to a group effort to save a home that definitely deserved being saved. What a wonderful feeling!
