Here are my pictures from our trip on Tuesday to the LA Arboretum and Botanical Gardens in Arcadia. This is a very pleasant place to visit, and would be a perfect spot to go for a picnic on a beautiful spring day. There is also a great gift shop with lots of goodies for not lots of money. Always a nice plus. Ray bought his cap there since the sun was bright and he’s prone to sunburn.

Sorry I don’t have more specific names for the flowers. Next time I’ll take a picture of the flower and also the plaque that goes with it. This time, I was rushing to catch up with everybody else as they kept walking through these beautiful gardens. Still, this conveys the variety of sights to see ranging from historical buildings to flora.
Also, mark your calendar. Apparently, every 3rd Tuesday of the month, the entire place is free to the public. Otherwise, it’s Adults: $9.00, Students with ID. and Seniors age 62: $6.00, Children Ages 5-12: $4.00, Children under 5: free, Members free. There is also a tram for people who have difficulty walking, but it does not operate on the free day.
