I have spent the last two days at our orange grove in Ojai with my family celebrating daughter Liz’s 29th birthday and my upcoming (next Wednesday) 62nd birthday. Ray and I arrived on Friday afternoon and returned today (Sunday) late afternoon. Our time with family, first at Surfers’ Beach in Ventura for several hours on Saturday, at the orange grove, then on a hike at the nearby Nature Conservancy was filled with lots of playtime with granddaughter Luna, and lots of talk and laughter with my three grown daughters, my son-in-law, Liz’s boyfriend, and Ray.
My phone went dead early in the day yesterday, hence no blog post last night. I must say that I enjoyed being “unplugged” for a bit of time, though I was sorry to have missed my 20 Minutes a Day blog post. I don’t expect to make a habit of that, but a little unplugged time is relaxing!
Here are pictures of our time together. These may speak louder than much else I can say.

An absolutely glorious two days. Thank you, family, for celebrating both Liz and my birthdays. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to bring in this new year.
