Little Luna has been sick on and off for the past two and a half weeks. Today her mother took her to the doctor only to discover that she has pneumonia. She is now on antibiotics and breathing treatments. Poor baby. I’m happy we have an answer to her recent poor health. I saw her on Friday and could tell by her eyes that she was not feeling very well. Sure enough, she wasn’t. Her mother said that after a breathing treatment and some medication this afternoon, Luna is already feeling better.
Sarah promptly wrote that since Ray and I have been sick, then we might also need to go the doctor for the pneumonia test. Also, Rachael should go since she has been dragging around for the same two weeks we have been and can’t seem to get well either. So tomorrow, we are headed as a group of three over to the doctor’s office. I think Ray and I are on the tail end of this, but we’ve both been shocked with what a persistent bug it’s been. Rachael, however, may need antibiotics. She was sick for her entire spring break. No fun, at all.
So, that’s the story over at the Beaty/Leatherwood household. I was beginning to think Ray and I had turned into old people who were just never going to get our energy back. A trip to the grocery store today pretty much wiped us both out. Definitely no fun getting winded just taking the trash out. That was yesterday.
Alas, it takes a lot to get any of us to the doctor. Luna’s diagnosis is exactly the sort of kick in the butt we need to go see if we need some actual medicine to knock out this bug.
Happy Monday to all. I hope you are breathing well, feeling even better and skipping down the street just for the pure fun of it.
I’ll check back in again tomorrow.
